How I met the Man in my life?¿?

Being a shy and reserved person I did not get out much when I was in my early twenties. I was more focused on school than worried about parties, friends, and beer! I did have friends who liked to go out and dance, get drunk, and pretty much enjoy their life. I was a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) while in college and I worked 12 hour shifts. One Saturday night after getting off from my 12 hour shift I called my friend Stacy and asked her if she was going to go to the Blind Horse Saloon. Now, the Blind Horse Saloon was a county-line dancing bar. I had only been one other time and it was on a Wednesday night when it was pretty dead. I had had enough of my "Boring Life!" I went to school, worked my ass off and I felt like it was time to have some fun for once in my life. Being 20 years old I still had a lot to learn. Stacy picked me up and we went to the Blind Horse. I remember sitting there drinking my water (Wasn't of legal age for booze) we were listening to the music and I was envying every nice look girl out of the dance floor who could line dance. . . Wishing I could do that! Anyway, this guy approaches my friend and me and he looks at us and says, "Would any of you ladies care to dance?" Remember, I was SHY! I looked at Stacy and said, "You go ahead." She told him that she had a boyfriend. This guy seemed a little offended because he looks at us and says, "I don't want to marry you, I just want to dance." Ok, so I felt like an ass and I felt sorry for this poor guy so I jumped up from my seat and said, "I'll dance with you." He took my hand and led me out on the dance floor. His hand felt manly but soft. His grip felt perfect. Well, when we hit the dance floor I put my arms around his waist and he politely informed me that my hands should go around his neck for a slow song. I was embarassed because I haven't danced with that many guys and surely not a man before. Our conversation was low-key. He asked my about my life like where I was from, what I did for a living, what my plans were in life. And I did the same. I remember him telling me he had a motorcycle and I assumed it was a street bike but again he informed me that it was a real bike. . . a cruiser. I guess he thought that would impress me. At the end of the song he thanked me for the dance and asked if he could dance with me again later and I said yes. In saying, "Yes" I was so nervous and shy I thought yeah, Ok, this dude is NOT going to ask me again and if he does I'm going to run like hell. So, I went back to the table where Stacy was sitting and I told her he wanted me to dance with him again. We took off to the bathroom just to get away for a few minutes. The next slow song came on and I practically begged Stacy to get up and dance with me so I would have to dance with that guy again. It's not that I didn't enjoy dancing or talking with him but come on, any guy in a dance/bar environment on a Saturday night only wants one thing right? Ha! That's what I thought. Well, he saw me dancing with my female friend and later I found out it offended him! So, the next slow song comes on later and I'll be damn if he's not at my table again asking me to dance... what in the hell was I gonna do, run from him? So, I danced with him again. His hands around my waist felt amazing. His hold on me was strong, tight, and perfect. I have never felt that feeling with anyone before. It was Great! He then decided to pull up a chair at our table and proceed to ask me if I would be interested in going to lunch with him sometime. I'm thinking this guy is full of it! I told him sure. . . thinking yeah right dude! I'll be suprised if you even remember me tomorrow! He wanted my telephone number so I gave it to him and another guy also asked me right in front of him for my telephone number so I gave it to him too! What did I have to lose? Really? Anyway by this time it's about 1:00 AM and I have to be at work by 6:15 AM. I tell him I have to go because I have to be at work and he gives me a hug and thanks me for the dance.

I thought it was over. . .on the ride home I thought he was really sweet. I've never met a guy so polite in my life! There was something about him. My thoughts were racing when I wasn't around him. I decided this was a waste of my time to think about it and I resorted back to thinking about work and school. The next day I was at work and he sent me a text message asking my how my day was. I was shocked to say the least! He called me for about two weeks before I saw him again. He was always asking, "Hey, how are you today?" And he would say thinks like, "Just thinking about you."

The second week after talking on the phone he asked if he could take me out to dinner and I told him no. I told him I had only met him once and I didn't know him and that if he wanted to see me he could come to my parents house that way I knew I was safe! Most guys would run, he came to my parents house! This story is what begins my life. I dated him for two years and. . .

I couldn't get rid of Mr. Lee Hurley so I married him!
